Manufacturers with many variants
Furniture, windows and doors, components, packaging: catalogues where every product exists in dozens of combinations and photography cannot cover them all.

If your product has variants — colours, materials, sizes, components — your customer is buying something they have never seen in the exact configuration they chose. A 3D configurator closes that gap: the product assembles in front of them, and what they see is what they will receive. All in the browser, nothing to install, phones included.
Furniture, windows and doors, components, packaging: catalogues where every product exists in dozens of combinations and photography cannot cover them all.
If a meaningful share of your returns comes from “it was not what I expected”, the problem is not logistics: the customer did not see enough before ordering.
Anyone who sells through conversation and spends hours explaining combinations over the phone or in a PDF. A configurator you can share with a link shortens the negotiation.
A configurator is the project where it is easiest to discover too late that the product rules were more complicated than expected. That is why the first phase is spent writing them down, before touching any 3D.
We put variants, constraints and pricing on paper. This is the phase that saves weeks: a forgotten rule discovered mid-build costs ten times more.
A reduced but real configurator, with a single product, to verify smoothness and clarity before extending to the whole catalogue.
The rest of the catalogue, the configuration summary and product code generation.
Optimisation on real devices, testing on slow connections, going live.
A configurator is built on your product data: the clearer the experience you want, the easier it is to reach the right result.
They help, but they are not required. If you have them I optimise them for the web, which is a different job from 3D for rendering: a model made for a brochure is almost always too heavy for the browser. If you do not have them, they can be built from technical drawings or a set of photographs.
Yes, and that is a requirement, not an extra. A large share of product page traffic comes from mobile: a configurator that only runs on desktop solves half the problem. I optimise and test on mid-range devices, not just the latest model.
The configurator runs on a technology base I built and adapt to your catalogue: that is what lets us start from a proven platform instead of from scratch. Everything that is yours — 3D models, data, compatibility rules, interface — stays yours and is handed over to you. If you need exclusivity in your sector or a different arrangement, we discuss it in the quote.
Send me two photos and your list of variants. Within half an hour I will tell you whether I think it is worth the investment or whether you should spend that budget elsewhere, at no cost.
Thirty minutes, no commitment. You tell me about the project and I tell you what I would do, with timing and a ballpark figure.
